Sixteen primary adherent cell lines out of 34 glioblastoma samples (47%) were established and further characterized. For phenotypical characterization, morphology and growth characteristics of the cells were classified. The cell lines had a high growth rate with a doubling time of 2 to 14?days. Morphologically, the cells displayed spindle-form or polygonal to amorphous shapes and grow as monolayer or in foci without evidence of contact inhibition. The cells were able to migrate and to form colonies. For further characterization, the protein expression of the astrocyte-specific protein glial fibrillary acidic proteiglioblastoma cell lines, the expression of the specific astrocytic and glial markers GFAP and S100B and of the malignancy and progenitor markers VIM, NES, and SOX2 has to be validated. Systematic review and meta-analysis of population-based retrospective cohort studies. PRISMA guidelines were used for abstracting data and assessing data quality and validity. Pooled risk ratio (RR) of having any sperm abnormality and testosterone, FSH, and LH standardized mean differences among male cannabis users and non-users, and meta-regression analysis according to age and year of publication.
Nine studies were evaluated which included 4014 men with semen data and 4787 with hormonal data. Overall among 1158 cannabis users, 44.9% had impaired semen parameters, compared with 24.5% of the 2856 non-users. The relative risk among cannabis users for any abnormal semen parameter was 1.159 (95% CI 0.840; 1.599, P=0.369). The standardized mean difference between user and non-user testosterone levels was -0.139 (95% CI -0.413; 0.134, P=0.318). For FSH, the standardized mean difference estimate was -0.142 (95% CI -0.243; -0.0425, P=0.005), while for LH the standardized mean difference estimate was -0.318 (95% CI -0.810-0.175; P=0.206).

This research explored the potential pharmacological mechanism of GZW in UC. The active ingredients, potential targets, and UC-related genes of GZW were retrieved from public databases. Network analysis revealed that 26 active GZW compounds and 148 potential GZW target proteins were associated with UC. Quercetin, kaempferol and β-sitosterol were identified as the core active ingredients of GZW. IFNG, IL-1A, IL-1B, JUN, RELA, and STAT1 were indicated as key targets of GZW. These key targets have a strong affinity for quercetin, kaempferol, and β-sitosterol. GO and KEGG enrichment analysis showed that GZW target proteins are highly enriched in inflammatory, immune, and oxidative stress-related pathways. This study confirmed the therapeutic effect and revealed potential molecular mechanism of GZW on UC. And the protective effects of GZW on inflammatory bowel disease pathway were also revealed through STAT3/NF-κB/IL-6 pathway.
